Description

You will build, maintain, and migrate mainframe application solutions using COBOL, DB2, and CICS.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build application solutions based on specifications from Requirements Analysts and Architects.
• Migrate existing COBOL code to a cloud environment and a new Postgres platform.
• Develop and execute unit tests and functional test coverage to ensure code quality.
• Participate in technical code reviews to detect defects in design, code, and test cases.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development.
• Proficiency with DB2 and CICS.
• Experience with JCL and setting up/running mainframe scripts and jobs.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to perform documentation for all code changes.
• Availability for rotating 24/7 on-call support for incident management, code corrections, and patches.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to Eclipse or Heirloom.
