Description

You will design and develop enhancements for mainframe-based business applications using COBOL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize code for CICS, MVS/JCL, and DB2 environments to ensure scalability and efficiency.
• Define test data, create test plans, and conduct unit, system, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Support and troubleshoot application issues, providing production support during implementation and ongoing operations.
• Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and implement solutions while adhering to coding standards.
• Create technical documentation including change records, testing results, and security impact analysis.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of software engineering experience with strong COBOL development expertise.
• Deep experience with mainframe technologies: CICS, MVS/JCL, and DB2.
• Proven track record in financial domain environments.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience managing code changes using mainframe change management tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
