Description

You will develop and maintain core banking systems using Cobol, ensuring production stability and supporting business-critical operations.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize legacy applications using Cobol, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• Support production environments, including responding to on-call needs and resolving incidents.
• Plan solution delivery and mentor less experienced team members on technical and procedural questions.
• Recommend strategies for improving existing system applications and internal business processes.
• Work independently with IT and business units to deliver moderate to complex projects.

Required Skills

• Expert proficiency in Cobol, CICS, JCL, VSAM, and DB2.
• 5+ years of professional experience in application development.
• Strong understanding of complex internal business processes and application development methodologies.
• Ability to work independently within IT and business functions.
• Familiarity with financial or credit/debit domain knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to thrive in a challenging technical environment.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated experience in the financial or banking sector.
