Description

You will build and maintain application solutions in a COBOL/DB2/CICS environment, supporting migration to cloud infrastructure and ensuring production stability.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance application solutions using COBOL, DB2, and CICS based on technical specifications.
• Migrate and support current systems into cloud environments by refactoring existing COBOL code.
• Execute unit and functional tests for code changes to ensure quality and reliability.
• Manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and deploy code corrections or patches.
• Document all code changes and adhere to established version management protocols.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in COBOL development.
• Proficiency with DB2 and CICS environments.
• Experience coding and testing across multiple systems or business processes.
• Strong understanding of coding fundamentals and data usage guidelines.
• Ability to participate in technical reviews to identify defects in requirements or design.
• Capability to provide rotating 24/7 on-call support for production systems.
• Familiarity with the full application development lifecycle.
