Description

You will manage the full software development life cycle using COBOL within a mainframe environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute full life cycle development following established coding standards.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Communicate with users to define design requirements and identify system issues.
• Document all code changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in COBOL programming.
• Extensive experience working in a mainframe environment.
• Proficiency with JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience working with APIs to and from source systems.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business users.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work independently and within a team to meet project deadlines.
