You will develop, maintain, and enhance COBOL programs within a mainframe environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance COBOL programs in a mainframe environment.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions with stakeholders.
• Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging for quality assurance.
• Support batch and real-time processing systems using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience in COBOL development within a mainframe environment.
• Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and VSAM.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document program logic, workflows, and system interfaces.
• Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with insurance systems (policy, claims, billing).
• Experience with modernization tools or strategies.
• Knowledge of Java or Python.
