Description

Develop and maintain COBOL-based Ingenium PAS systems on z/OS, owning the full implementation lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze Ingenium PAS system issues using COBOL to resolve defects and enhance functionality.
• Design, configure, develop, and deploy technology solutions that meet specific business requirements.
• Lead technical resources in the implementation of complex technical solutions and system integrations.
• Optimize development processes to improve team effectiveness and productivity.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in enterprise development.
• Proficiency with COBOL on z/OS.
• Hands-on experience with TSO, CICS, and JCL.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or IBM Db2.
• Understanding of database design and basic administration functions.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to analyze architectural patterns and practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working specifically with Ingenium on z/OS.
• Knowledge of VSAM and the IBM z/OS operating environment.
• Background working within the insurance industry.
