Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance custom software within a mainframe environment, translating design documents into structured COBOL programs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programs, modifying data entry screens, batch processing, reports, and queries.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and verify results against requirements using application logic.
• Identify and correct data errors and develop summary reports.
• Assist with the conversion of legacy COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
• Prepare technical and user-facing documentation to support the full software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proficiency with DB2 and JCL development and maintenance.
• Experience using Control-M for workload automation.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including integration testing and deployment.
• Experience with AWS and Kofax.
• Ability to follow organizational procedures for source code management and migration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience converting COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
