Description

You will design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and associated tools.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and code Mainframe COBOL, JCL, and Copybooks to meet project specifications.
• Develop and execute unit test and integration plans to validate application changes.
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate development stages.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and code.
• Perform application support, systems support, security reviews, and maintenance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of mainframe development experience in design, analysis, and coding.
• Expertise in COBOL (CICS), JCL, CA7, DB2, and Batch Processing.
• Proficiency in running, compiling, and debugging on IBM Z370 and MVS 2.04 environments.
• Experience developing and executing unit testing and integration plans.
• Ability to work independently on enhancements to COBOL programs and subprograms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with mainframe systems for correspondence generation updates.

Preferred Skills

• Experience interfacing with business and IT teams to define technical requirements.
• Any Graduate degree.
