Description

You will develop, maintain, and enhance custom software on IBM/DELL mainframe operating systems, translating design specifications into structured programs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design documents into well-structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain and enhance custom software, including batch processing, reports, queries, and user data entry screens.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and validate results against requirements.
• Identify and correct data errors through application logic and develop analysis reports.
• Assist with the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based applications and prepare technical documentation.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL programming.
• Proficiency in JCL.
• Experience working on IBM/DELL mainframe operating systems.
• Ability to conduct code reviews and analyze existing data and business processes.
• Experience modifying batch processing and report generation.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience using IBM and Microsoft tools for analysis and reporting.
• Background in converting legacy COBOL applications to web-based architectures.
