Description

You will develop and maintain core mainframe applications using COBOL.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design documents into well-structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain and enhance existing software, including data entry screens, batch processing, and reports.
• Execute test changes, run tests, and verify program correctness against requirements.
• Conduct code reviews and support non-database business processes.
• Assist with the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based systems.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of COBOL development experience on Mainframe.
• Proficiency in JCL development and maintenance.
• Proven experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug computer software.
• Strong analytical skills for data error correction and report generation.
• Experience preparing program-level and user-level documentation.
• Familiarity with Java programming.
