Description

You will develop, maintain, and migrate mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate design documents into structured COBOL programs and maintain batch processing, reports, and user interfaces.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and conduct thorough testing to ensure correctness against requirements.
• Identify and correct data errors using application logic and develop summary reports with IBM and Microsoft tools.
• Support the conversion of legacy COBOL applications to web-based architectures.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the full software development life cycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe environments.
• Proficiency in JCL development, maintenance, and execution.
• Experience with DB2 database management and Control-M job scheduling.
• Strong understanding of the full SDLC, including design, development, integration testing, and deployment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software to meet required outcomes.
• Experience following organizational procedures for source code management and change migration.
• 5 years of Java programming knowledge.
• Proven ability to prepare comprehensive technical and user documentation.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Postgres DB.
• Knowledge of Kofax.
