Description

You will develop and maintain mainframe applications, supporting the transition from legacy COBOL to web-based systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate design documents and specifications into well-structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain custom software by modifying user data entry screens, batch processing, reports, and queries.
• Execute program changes, update test files, and validate results against requirements.
• Identify and correct data errors through application logic and develop summary reports.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proficiency with JCL development and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with DB2 and Control-M.
• Knowledge of Java programming.
• Experience with AWS and Postgres DB.
• Experience with Kofax.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Ability to follow organizational guidelines for code management and deployment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience assisting with COBOL to web-based application conversions.
