Description

You will develop and maintain critical COBOL systems on mainframe platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate analysis and design documents into structured COBOL programs.
• Maintain and enhance custom software, including data entry screens, batch processing, and reports.
• Conduct code reviews and support non-database functions by examining existing processes.
• Execute and review test program changes to ensure requirements are met.
• Prepare program-level and user-level documentation for the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
• Proven experience with COBOL, DB2, JCL, and Control-M.
• Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug computer software.
• Strong analytical skills for data error correction and report generation.
• Experience preparing comprehensive program and user documentation.
• Capability to follow strict procedures for source code management and deployment.
• Familiarity with Java programming.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Postgres DB.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kofax.
