Description

You will develop and maintain custom software within a mainframe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate design documents and specifications into well-structured COBOL programs.
  • Maintain and enhance software by modifying user data entry screens, batch processing, reports, and queries.
  • Execute program changes, update test files, and verify results against requirements.
  • Identify and correct data errors using application logic and develop summary reports.
  • Assist with the conversion of COBOL applications to web-based platforms.
  • Prepare program-level and user-level documentation to support the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in COBOL development on Mainframe.
  • Proficiency with DB2 and JCL development and maintenance.
  • Experience using Control-M for workload automation.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, test, and debug software.
  • Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, including integration testing and deployment.
  • Experience with AWS and Kofax.
  • Ability to follow organizational procedures for source code management and migration.
  • Proven capability in preparing technical and user-facing documentation.
