Description

You will develop enhancements and new functionality for the in-house Investment Book of Records suite. You own the full software development lifecycle, from architecture to production support.

Responsibilities

• Architect solutions and create detailed technical specifications for COBOL applications.
• Execute hands-on development and manage the complete software development life cycle.
• Create test plans following the Development Process Framework and assist SQA teams with UAT.
• Provide production support and manage multiple projects simultaneously for complex business scenarios.

Required Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience as a Senior COBOL Developer.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with the full software development cycle, including application architecture and analysis.
• Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA, 4 days per week.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven project management and team collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Fujitsu NetCOBOL or MicroFocus COBOL.
• Knowledge of Sybase, MQ, Unix, or Unix shell scripting.
• Financial industry experience with knowledge of trade flow and corporate actions.
