Description

You will manage and maintain over 60 ADABAS databases in a large-scale mainframe environment. You will own system integration, performance tuning, and software maintenance for Software AG products.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain 60+ ADABAS databases exceeding 9TB in size.
• Support integration with ADABAS Security, Natural, Entire NetWork, AOS, Review, and SQL Gateway.
• Monitor, tune, and optimize performance for ADABAS, Natural, Entire NetWork, and SQL Gateway.
• Execute database backup, restore, and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.
• Diagnose and resolve product usage issues, performance problems, and maintain technical documentation.

Required Skills

• Extensive experience with Software AG ADABAS database administration.
• Proficiency in Natural programming language, Natural One, and Natural Security administration.
• Knowledge of IBM z/OS operating system, including TPX, TSO, and batch JCL.
• Experience installing and supporting ADABAS Security, Entire NetWork, SQL Gateway, AOS, and Review.
• Ability to perform upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance across installed Software AG products.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in mainframe database administration.
• Willingness to provide on-call support as required.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM/change management tools.
• Experience with CA Broadcom mainframe tools (Vantage, View, JCL Check, Sysview, NetMaster).
