Description

Lead technical development for Life and Annuity insurance applications in a TPA environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical research, development, and testing for Life and Annuity product requirements.
• Design scalable technical specifications and perform impact analyses for new product launches.
• Represent the development team in client discussions alongside Business Analysts.
• Direct offshore teams by reviewing code, validating unit tests, and ensuring on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with QA and Business Analysts to resolve defects and manage project handovers.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in COBOL development.
• Deep domain knowledge in Life & Annuity Insurance within a TPA environment.
• Proficiency in JCL, VSAM, and CICS.
• Experience with DTCC, DST, Claims, or agency system integrations.
• Strong database skills in DB2, SQL, or Oracle.
• Hands-on experience with Java, Python, and Shell Scripting.
• Solid understanding of the SDLC.
• Proven ability to perform impact analysis and create technical design documents.

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading offshore development teams.
