Description

You will serve as the technical authority for COBOL-based Life and Annuity systems, focusing on Guideline Single Premium and Guideline Level Premium products.

Responsibilities

• Debug and maintain complex COBOL programs, JCL, VSAM, and CICS environments.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for life insurance and annuity TPA products.
• Ensure accurate implementation of 7 Pay Premium, Reproposals, Target Premium, Illustrations, MEC calculations, and Projections.
• Participate in SDLC lifecycle using waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Suggest improvements to existing platforms and demonstrate eagerness to learn new digital technologies and cloud platforms.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in programming and debugging using COBOL.
• Strong proficiency in JCL, VSAM, and CICS technologies.
• 8+ years of experience in Life Insurance and Annuity TPA business involving multiple product lines.
• Working knowledge of Guideline Single Premium and Guideline Level Premium processes.
• Experience in SDLC lifecycle in waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements and write technical specifications.
• Any Graduate education.

Preferred Skills

• Working knowledge of relational databases (DB2, SQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with Agile framework and process flow.
• Exposure to JAVA, Python, Shell Scripting, and Linux.
