Description

You will develop, enhance, and support applications on the IBM i (AS/400) platform, ensuring system performance and integrity. This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code using COBOL/400, CL/400, and SQL within the SDLC.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and production issues.
• Optimize SQL queries and manage DB2/400 database performance.
• Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams on integration initiatives involving APIs.
• Adhere to coding standards, version control processes, and best practices.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with COBOL/400 and IBM i (AS/400 or iSeries).
• Strong proficiency in CL Programming and DB2 database management.
• Expertise in SQL and database optimization.
• Experience with API integration and external system connectivity.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git or Subversion.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies and software development lifecycles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to automated testing, unit testing, and system design.
• Knowledge of Insurance domain or Workflow and Imaging Network System (WINS).
