Document complex mainframe systems and translate technical processes into formal procedural guides.

Responsibilities

• Convert SME process flows into formal procedural documentation and technical specifications.
• Write user guides and online help materials that explain complex concepts simply.
• Analyze and prepare technical documentation while coordinating layout and organization.
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand product and system requirements.
• Produce high-quality documentation that adheres to established process guidelines.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of COBOL experience.
• 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis or specification writing experience.
• Proficiency with CICS, JCL, and DB2/SQL.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture principles, including tables, views, and SQL.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite products.
• Ability to grasp complex technical concepts and explain them through text and imagery.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• BA or BS degree, or 10 years of equivalent technical writing experience.
