Description

You will design and develop large-scale distributed systems focused on database performance and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and improve query performance and supporting infrastructure.
• Build proofs of concept for resilience and multi-data center configurations to test new solutions.
• Design systems using concurrency, parallelism, and event-driven architecture.
• Build out a team to improve database management processes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in distributed systems design and development.
• Hands-on experience with CockroachDB.
• Proficiency with NoSQL technologies including Cassandra, Redis, and MongoDB.
• Experience with Kafka.
• Deep understanding of CockroachDB partitioning, transactions, and concurrency.
• Knowledge of distributed DB tradeoffs, relaxed consistency models, and columnar storage.
• Familiarity with time-series databases.
• Understanding of event-driven architecture.
• Any Graduate degree.
