Description

You will maintain and sustain Cognos reporting solutions for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems.

Responsibilities

• Scope Cognos report solution sessions with business lines to capture objectives and prioritize opportunities.
• Maintain existing Cognos reporting solutions with a focus on availability and system maintenance.
• Extract, transform, and load data using SQL under the direction of the Report Development Lead.
• Create mock-up reports for proof-of-concept reviews and support end-to-end data lifecycle management.
• Develop, validate, and document test cases, and assist in creating end-user training materials.
• Research and resolve system problems or errors reported by users.

Required Skills

• Minimum 5 years of HxGN EAM or similar enterprise data management software experience.
• Minimum 5 years of IT-related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience developing Cognos reporting solutions, including modeling, design, and testing of data visualization or paginated reports.
• Proficiency with Cognos 8, Framework Manager, Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Metrics Studio.
• Strong understanding of Cognos architecture and development best practices.
• Experience with SQL and complex relational database organization, design, and functionality.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and HTML within Cognos 8 environments.
• Ability to support HxGN integration with Power BI solutions.
• Experience working across the full project development lifecycle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in an Agile project delivery model.
