Description

You will design, develop, and maintain IBM Cognos reports and data models to support business intelligence requirements.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop pixel-perfect reports, dashboards, and parameterized drill-through reports using Cognos Analytics.
• Build and maintain Framework Manager models, including namespaces, query subjects, hierarchies, and calculations.
• Optimize SQL queries and model performance to ensure scalable and reusable reporting structures.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and perform data validation to ensure accuracy.
• Implement row-level and object-level security and manage report scheduling, bursting, and distribution.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics or Cognos BI.
• Strong expertise in Framework Manager (FM).
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, and performance tuning.
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including facts, dimensions, and star/snowflake schemas.
• Proven ability to perform report performance tuning and defect resolution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the healthcare domain.
• Cognos Administration experience covering security, scheduling, and deployment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or ETL tools.
