Description

You will design, develop, and maintain IBM Cognos Analytics solutions, including pixel-perfect reports, dashboards, and parameterized visualizations.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize Framework Manager models, defining namespaces, query subjects, relationships, and complex calculations.
• Write and tune advanced SQL queries for Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata to ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Implement row-level and object-level security, manage report bursting, and handle versioning across environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and support UAT.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and support data governance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and Report Studio.
• Strong expertise in Framework Manager for metadata modeling and calculations.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience in complex joins and performance tuning.
• Experience with relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or Teradata.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts including star/snowflake schemas, facts, and dimensions.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cognos Administration, security, and deployments.
• Familiarity with other BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
