Description

You will lead the design, configuration, and optimization of IBM Cognos Analytics for the State Data Warehouse Solution, focusing on UI customization and enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead UI customization efforts by configuring Cognos themes, extensions, and styles to meet specific business requirements.
• Administer and manage Cognos environments, including installation, security configuration, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Cognos Report Studio.
• Implement best practices for Framework Manager, data modules, and metadata modeling to support reporting structures.
• Optimize report execution performance, troubleshoot system errors, and provide technical support for Cognos users.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IBM Cognos Analytics, with deep expertise in UI customization and reporting development.
• Strong proficiency in Cognos Report Studio, Dashboarding, and Framework Manager.
• Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Cognos extensions for UI enhancements.
• Expertise in SQL and database structures, including Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, and Snowflake.
• Knowledge of Cognos security, authentication, and role-based access control.
• Ability to collaborate with data architects and ETL teams to ensure proper data modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Intelligence, or a related field.
