Description

You will own the IBM Cognos Analytics platform end-to-end, managing upgrades, containerization, and on-call support.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Manage IBM Cognos Analytics Version 12 in a containerized Linux environment, handling upgrades and deployments.
• Perform on-call support, troubleshoot complex issues, and conduct continuous monitoring to manage risk and vulnerabilities.
• Design go-live strategies, analyze usage patterns, and plan capacity based on workload anticipation.
• Advise stakeholders on architecture and best practices while leading capacity planning and performance monitoring.
• Interface with senior management to align platform stability with business needs and coordinate patching with Oracle teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, specifically Version 12.
• Strong Linux environment experience; Windows-only experience is not sufficient.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues and perform complex version upgrades.
• Experience with Jira and ServiceNow for ticketing and service management.
• Project management skills to lead initiatives and manage risk.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Remedy ticketing systems.
• Knowledge of Oracle SQL for database interactions.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and IBM business tools.
