Description

You will design and build scalable data models and ETL processes using Snowflake and DBT. You will translate business requirements into technical specifications and optimize data pipelines for performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and analyze existing data management applications and processes.
• Prepare high-level and low-level design documents to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Build and manage ETL processes in Snowflake Data Factory using DBT for internal and external data sources.
• Design scalable data models using dimensional modeling best practices within DBT.
• Develop complex data transformations, custom macros, and Python scripts to automate data cleaning and validation.

Required Skills

• 12+ months of experience in ETL development and Python scripting.
• Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization for performance.
• Experience with DBT for data transformation and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Factory.
• Ability to create custom DBT macros for automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, IS, or Engineering (or related field).
• Willingness to travel up to 100% to unanticipated client sites within the USA.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with dimensional modeling best practices.
• Background in IT Consulting or Analyst roles.
