Description

You will design and administer highly available, scalable Kafka architectures on Confluent Platform and Kubernetes.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and administer Confluent Platform (CP/CPC) and Confluent for Kubernetes (CFK).
• Design scalable Kafka architectures ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement Kafka security measures including SSL/TLS, SASL, and ACLs.
• Manage Kafka components such as brokers, topics, partitions, replication, ISR, and consumer groups.
• Tune performance for Kafka clusters and integrate with Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, ksqlDB, REST Proxy, and Control Center.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Confluent Platform and Confluent for Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in Kafka internals: brokers, topics, partitions, replication, ISR, and consumer groups.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
• Experience implementing Kafka security protocols: SSL/TLS, SASL, and ACLs.
• Knowledge of Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, ksqlDB, REST Proxy, and Control Center.
• Understanding of RBAC and authentication mechanisms.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance tuning for large-scale Kafka clusters.
