Description

You will manage and maintain Websphere MQ environments within a 24x7 production support model.

Responsibilities

• Build and configure non-production and production queue managers based on client requirements.
• Define MQ managers and objects while troubleshooting all MQ-related issues.
• Support application teams with testing, deployments, and MQ migrations.
• Perform fix pack installations and manage SSL certificates.
• Execute MQSC commands and handle remote MQ administration tasks.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in MQ Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Websphere MQ versions 7.x, 8.x, and 9.x.
• Proficiency with IBM MQ utilities including qload, runmqdlq, saveqmgr, Rfhutil, and MQ explorer.
• Strong knowledge of Distributed queuing, Clustering, and PUB/SUB.
• Experience managing SSL certificates.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux and Solaris operating systems.
• Practical understanding of client and server architecture.
• Experience with ITIL components including IM, PM, and CM.
• Ability to work in shifts and provide weekend coverage.

Preferred Skills

• Unix or Perl scripting knowledge.
• Experience with Openshift and MQ clients on Fabric.
• Knowledge of Networking, Firewalls, and the Financial domain.
