Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform server build and configuration tasks.
• Manage LVM and file systems effectively.
• Handle subscription and patching of servers.
• Configure and troubleshoot network issues.
• Administer RedHat Linux clusters using PCS.
• Conduct kernel tuning for performance optimization.
• Oversee migration and upgrades of systems.
• Implement server hardening measures.
• Troubleshoot server issues including permissions, system load, and service failures.
• Analyze logs and resolve OS-related problems.
• Configure and troubleshoot mail services.
• Install software using RPM, Yast, and Yum.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Configure NTP and proxy settings.

Skills Required:

• Strong expertise in Linux administration, particularly RedHat environments
• Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux systems
• Proficiency in server build, configuration, and patching
• Knowledge of LVM, file systems, and kernel tuning
• Experience with RedHat cluster administration using PCS
• Strong troubleshooting skills for server, network, and OS-related issues
• Familiarity with server hardening and vulnerability assessments
• Experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management
• Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and task optimization
• Ability to install and manage software using RPM, Yast, and Yum
• Knowledge of mail services, NTP, and proxy configuration

Education: B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc. in any branch
