Own the full lifecycle of AIX and IBM Power Systems infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security compliance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain AIX operating systems (7.1/7.2/7.3) using NIM for deployment and patch management.
• Design, implement, and manage PowerHA (HACMP) clusters and GPFS scalable storage solutions.
• Operate and troubleshoot Virtual I/O Server (VIOS) and Hardware Management Console (HMC) environments.
• Execute OS migrations, PowerHA software migrations, and GPFS upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Perform Live Partition Mobility (LPM) and data/disk migrations across storage systems.

Required Skills

• 13+ years of hands-on experience with AIX support and IBM Power hardware management.
• Proficiency in Shell, Perl, Python, and Ansible scripting.
• Experience downloading packages from IBM FixCentral and creating installable images or ISOs.
• Hands-on experience with HMC, server firmware upgrades, and Network/Fiber card firmware updates.
• Strong debugging and problem analysis skills for P0/P1 tickets and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes, vulnerability management, and server hardening.
• Ability to monitor system performance, capacity, and security.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams for disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent communication skills for customer interaction and documentation.
