Description

Drive the color, material, and finish (CMF) strategy for consumer electronics and wearable hardware from initial concept through production.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own CMF product specifications and resolve design, prototyping, and manufacturing issues during development.
• Research and develop proprietary hardware styles, construction details, and material combinations.
• Create fully resolved CMF strategies for presentation to internal teams, partners, and manufacturers.
• Gather and share market trends across consumer electronics, eyewear, and fashion industries.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a CMF Designer or Developer.
• Proficiency in 2D CAD and 2D color renderings to communicate design vision.
• Working knowledge of plastic injection molding and metal fabrication techniques.
• Experience with resin development, coating technologies, and plastics decoration processes.
• Technical understanding of fabrics and textiles.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with 3D CAD and visualization tools.
