Description

Design, implement, and maintain control systems for manufacturing processes and equipment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new PLC solutions, loop control technologies, and HMI development.
• Lead controls installation projects, including equipment specification and material selection.
• Manage installation, startup, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance of automation systems.
• Specify and design significant upgrades to existing equipment and expand new communication networks.
• Integrate cobots and motion control systems with existing shop floor equipment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in controls engineering.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, Ladder Logic, and HMI development.
• Experience with SCADA, RFID, and shop floor communication protocols.
• Knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and multi-axis control.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical energy sources.
• Ability to interface shop floor control systems with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Practical knowledge of sensors, actuators, and closed-loop control.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety.
• Experience with cobot offline programming and integration.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with robotics specialist applications.
