Description

You will lead the design and execution of end-to-end automation projects and custom engineered solutions for the Elkhart, IN office.

All roles are on-site.

Responsibilities

• Translate user requirements into functional designs and technical concepts.
• Conduct plant assessments to define scope of work and customer requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships through RFQ/RFI preparation and quote evaluation.
• Coordinate offshore and vendor teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop automation high-level concepts, including ROM and BOM estimations.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing automation or custom engineered solutions.
• Practical experience with PLC, HMI, and Robotics.
• Strong knowledge of automation cell integration including robotics, pneumatics, and safety.
• Experience with assembly, pick and place, vision, and inspection automation.
• Ability to manage end-to-end project execution and estimation.
• Competency in performing value stream mapping and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Experience with RFQ processes and vendor management.
• Knowledge of operational technology communication protocols.
• Background in robotics and linear motion systems integration.

Preferred Skills

• Industry experience in Truck or Off-Highway manufacturing.
• Experience in low-cost automation, fixture design, and SPM/testing machines.
