Description

You will own the full lifecycle of electrical and control system design for large-scale projects.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems from scratch, including hardware, software, and network architectures.
• Develop electrical panel designs, power calculations, and detailed schematics using drafting software.
• Perform technical risk assessments and design redundant mitigations for safety-critical components.
• Manage vendor scope to ensure safety, functionality, and adherence to contract requirements.
• Execute system installation and commissioning, including working off-shifts as required by project timelines.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in electrical or controls engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related discipline.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design and drafting.
• Experience with hardware and software from major industrial manufacturers such as Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
• Knowledge of ethernet-based distributed remote I/O systems.
• Ability to perform complex calculations including short circuit protection, harmonics, load flow, and power consumption.
• Experience designing systems with complex motion and automated system integration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office environments.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
