Controls Engineer

You will program factory floor controllers, debug equipment, and implement engineering solutions to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve PLC and HMI systems to ensure optimal equipment operation and product quality.
• Identify root causes of controls system issues and implement permanent solutions.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and electrical machine improvements.
• Develop technical documentation, including training materials, operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
• Update engineering drawings and ensure new systems align with plant and corporate standards.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of controls engineering experience.
• Expertise in ladder logic programming with Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Hands-on experience implementing control strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on identifying underlying mechanisms.
• Ability to execute electrical upgrade plans and resolve electrical problems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HMIs, SCADA systems, and Cognex cameras.
• Proficiency in VB .NET, C#, Java, or Python.
• Knowledge of measurements, optics, and project management.
