Description

You will design, implement, and validate control software for complex residential systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and compliance teams to define control behavior requirements.
• Develop and validate control models for residential systems in simulation environments.
• Implement control algorithms and integration tests using Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL).
• Perform hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of control algorithms on physical hardware.
• Support safety and compliance testing activities.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and hands-on troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience developing software in systems languages (C, C++, Rust) for real-time controls.
• Familiarity with controls system fundamentals and modeling.
• Experience with grid and/or microgrid operation and relevant standards (UL 1741, IEEE 1547).
• Proficiency with Matlab and Simulink.
• Experience with SiL and HiL testing methodologies.
