Description

You will develop machine installation and modification plans using technical expertise in electronics and controls.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, troubleshoot, and confirm equipment at vendor sites or in the Production Engineering lab during project preparation and installation.
• Perform online and offline PLC programming to support production requirements.
• Provide primary support to NAMCs for auxiliary equipment, including robot teaching and handling device adjustment for new die introduction.
• Investigate and implement countermeasures for mass production problems.
• Ensure all activities meet safety and quality compliance standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment and/or press environments.
• Proficiency in PLC programming.
• Strong understanding of electronics and controls.
• Experience with press mechanics and root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Practical understanding of mechanics of materials and tooling/machining.
• Ability to work within a team environment with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety compliance.

Preferred Skills

• Robot programming experience.
