Description

You will own the optimization of speech recognition and natural language understanding systems to improve customer interaction accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Improve system accuracy in interpreting spoken words and phrases from callers and webchat users.
• Collect and analyze large voice datasets to train models for various accents, dialects, and speech patterns.
• Test IVR speech recognition and web interfaces to resolve false positives and misinterpretations.
• Implement NLP techniques to enable complex interactions and adapt models based on error analysis.
• Manage and modify NLU performance patterns to optimize language models.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of relevant experience in speech recognition or NLU.
• Deep expertise with Nuance Recognizer, Nuance Dragon Voice, or Nuance SpeechSuite.
• Proficiency in Perl for scripting.
• Experience with JavaScript or ECMAScript for grammar development and testing.
• Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to analyze large datasets of speech data to identify patterns.
• Familiarity with grammar rules, syntax, and semantics for language model optimization.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
