Description

Develop and maintain core backend services for high-throughput applications.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services using Core Java 8+.
• Implement multithreaded and concurrent processing modules for high-throughput applications.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and integration endpoints across distributed systems.
• Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito, ensuring code quality through reviews and CI.
• Conduct performance tuning, JVM optimization, and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, OOP concepts, Streams, and Lambdas.
• Deep understanding of Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and dependency injection.
• Strong SQL skills, including relational schema design and query optimization.
• Experience with multithreading, concurrency, executors, and locking mechanisms.
• Working knowledge of Maven/Gradle, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of JVM internals, garbage collection, and performance tuning strategies.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs, handling JSON serialization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Capital Markets or Investment Banking environments.
• Familiarity with microservices in high-volume, low-latency environments.
