Description

You will design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and EJB, primarily running on IBM WebSphere.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy backend solutions using Java and EJB (Session Beans, MDBs).
• Maintain and optimize applications on IBM WebSphere Application Server.
• Integrate backend services with UI and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide service documentation.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with EJB, JDBC, JPA, and relational databases (DB2 or Oracle).
• Expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (v8.5 or higher preferred).
• Proficiency with SOAP and RESTful Web Services.
• Strong understanding of multithreading, exception handling, and performance tuning.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Any Graduate degree.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JMS and message-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools including Jenkins, Git, and Maven.
