You will lead accounting operations and financial controls for the organization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the General Ledger, close process, intercompany transactions, and statutory reporting under Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP).
• Manage quarterly and annual filings including Yellow Book and premium tax returns, coordinating with auditors and regulators (NAIC, TDI).
• Maintain internal controls and accounting policies while coordinating audits and state insurance exams.
• Evaluate new products and transactions, monitoring emerging technical accounting standards.
• Align with Actuarial on reserves and capital adequacy; support ERP and reporting automation.

Required Skills

• CPA required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 preferred).
• 2+ years in statutory accounting leadership (SAP).
• Insurance industry expertise, specifically life products, reinsurance, and NAIC reporting.
• Proven experience leading teams and driving operational transformation.
• Strong communication skills for executive and Board presentations.
