Design and lead enterprise-level search architectures using Coveo and similar platforms, translating business requirements into scalable, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement unified federated search solutions integrating multiple content sources, languages, and channels.
• Define technical roadmaps for search platforms, including performance optimization, relevancy tuning, and personalization strategies.
• Design and maintain search schemas, pipelines, features, and indexes to enhance user experience and application relevance.
• Conduct performance tuning of search queries and indexing processes, leveraging Coveo Usage Analytics and Machine Learning.
• Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to integrate AI/ML capabilities such as semantic search, NLP, and vector similarity.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in software engineering or architecture, with 5–10+ years focused on Coveo or equivalent search platforms (SOLR, Elastic Search, Algolia).
• Deep expertise in search ranking models, query pipelines, indexing strategies, and data modeling for large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Node.js, or Scala for building and integrating search services.
• Strong understanding of web technologies including RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of search security, access control mechanisms, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
• Familiarity with Coveo modules such as Headless Library, Atomic Library, and JavaScript Search Framework.
• Understanding of SEO principles, metadata structuring, and content optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AI/ML models in search contexts, including BERT, transformers, and LLMs.
• Proven track record leading 5+ end-to-end Coveo search projects.
