Description

You will own certification testing and execution for Residential Gateways (RG) in a lab environment. You execute test planning for consumer services, identify and validate defects with vendors, and configure voice gateways with registrar servers. You perform end-to-end VoIP call flow testing, provide Tier 4 troubleshooting, and analyze SIP/RTP debug logs and packet traces to diagnose complex session issues.

Responsibilities

• Execute test planning and certification testing for Residential Gateways and consumer services.
• Identify, open, and validate defects by working directly with vendors for resolution.
• Configure voice gateways with registrar servers and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Perform end-to-end call flow testing for VoIP services and provide Tier 4 support.
• Analyze SIP and RTP debug logs and packet-level traces to diagnose session issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in testing and field support for VoIP or Mobility products.
• Extensive knowledge of SIP, RTP, RTCP, H.323, IMS, and T.38 protocols.
• Deep understanding of SIP protocol and IETF/ITU-T standards (RFC 3261, 3262, 3264, 4566).
• Expertise in packet-level troubleshooting using Wireshark, Agilent, Tektronix, or Netscope.
• Strong knowledge of IP networking (IPv4/IPv6), NAT, ACLs, SSL/TLS, VLANs, and routing.
• Proven experience with voice over LAN, WAN, and QoS design and implementation.
• Experience with quality and bug tracking systems such as Quality Center or TMATS.
• Ability to manage outage bridges and work directly with vendors.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Perl or Shell scripting for test automation.
• Knowledge of Unix, OpenStack, HTML, XML, Java, or Python.
• Experience with VoIP-related automation test tools for call generation.
