Description

You will validate and automate testing for WiFi mesh networking equipment, including residential gateways and mesh extenders, in lab and real-world environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation frameworks for lab test setups and OSS integration.
• Write TR-069 and shell scripts to control WiFi devices, orchestrate test scenarios, and collect KPIs.
• Build command line tools in Java, Python, or Go to collect periodic statistics.
• Execute WiFi connectivity testing, including throughput, latency, mesh roaming, MU-MIMO performance, and coverage measurement.
• Generate performance metrics and detailed test reports to support vendor comparisons.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in CPE validation or automation engineering.
• Proficiency in Python and Expect for software automation.
• Experience writing command line tools in Java, Python, or Go.
• Strong knowledge of WiFi performance testing and RF concepts.
• Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, L2 networking, switches, and Wireshark debugging.
• Experience using professional lab equipment such as Octoscope, Veriwave, spectrum analyzers, or network analyzers.
• Ability to customize scripts to handle vendor-specific hardware variations.
• Proven documentation skills for writing detailed test plans and methodical test cases.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with L3 networking and routers.
• Experience with Java-based tool development.
