Description

Validate and automate testing for CPE devices, specifically WiFi mesh networking equipment including residential gateways and mesh extenders.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute validation and automation tasks for WiFi connectivity, covering throughput, latency, mesh roaming, and MU-MIMO performance.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for lab test setups and OSS integration using Python and Expect.
• Write TR-069 related scripts and shell scripts to control WiFi devices and orchestrate test scenarios.
• Build command line tools in Java, Python, or Go to collect periodic statistics and KPIs.
• Perform root-cause analysis and debug hardware and software issues in lab and real-life environments.

Required Skills

• Experience with WiFi performance testing and RF concepts, including splitters, attenuators, antennas, and RF shielded boxes.
• Proficiency in Python and Expect for software automation.
• Ability to write shell scripts for CPE validation and TR-069 router control.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, L2 networking, and switches.
• Hands-on experience with debugging tools like Wireshark.
• Experience using lab test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to write command line tools in Java, Python, or Go.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with Octoscope or Veriwave Wi-Fi test equipment.
• Knowledge of L3 networking and routers.
