You will validate CPE devices, such as TR-069 routers, through automated testing and manual experimentation.
Responsibilities
- Execute WiFi performance testing and customize scripts to run experiments involving ports, wifi radios, and SSID packets.
- Generate throughput, KPI, and other performance metrics and statistics for tested devices.
- Compile detailed test reports and documentation to support technical presentations.
- Perform root-cause analysis using debugging tools to resolve hardware and software issues.
- Write and maintain shell scripts to validate network device behavior.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of experience in validation or testing roles.
- Proficiency in Python and Expect for software automation.
- Hands-on experience with WiFi performance testing.
- Strong knowledge of TCP-IP and L2 networking, including switches.
- Experience using Wireshark for network debugging.
- Practical knowledge of RF concepts, including splitters, attenuators, antennas, and RF shielded boxes.
- Competency with lab equipment: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to develop shell scripts for network validation.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with L3 networking and routers.
- Experience with Octoscope or Veriwave test equipment.
