CPE Validation Engineer

You will validate CPE devices, such as TR-069 routers, through automated testing and manual experimentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute WiFi performance testing and customize scripts to run experiments involving ports, wifi radios, and SSID packets.
• Generate throughput, KPI, and other performance metrics and statistics for tested devices.
• Compile detailed test reports and documentation to support technical presentations.
• Perform root-cause analysis using debugging tools to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Write and maintain shell scripts to validate network device behavior.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in validation or testing roles.
• Proficiency in Python and Expect for software automation.
• Hands-on experience with WiFi performance testing.
• Strong knowledge of TCP-IP and L2 networking, including switches.
• Experience using Wireshark for network debugging.
• Practical knowledge of RF concepts, including splitters, attenuators, antennas, and RF shielded boxes.
• Competency with lab equipment: spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to develop shell scripts for network validation.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with L3 networking and routers.
• Experience with Octoscope or Veriwave test equipment.
