Description

You will lead cybersecurity coordination and outreach efforts to strengthen the security posture of local governments and statewide partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational materials, workshops, and outreach programs tailored to varying levels of cybersecurity readiness.
• Coordinate statewide cybersecurity efforts to ensure alignment and collaboration among all stakeholders.
• Promote the adoption of cybersecurity best practices, leveraging resources like the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP).
• Identify resource gaps within local governments and propose strategic changes to improve security posture.
• Foster collaborative relationships with federal partners, state agencies, and local governments to execute outreach strategies.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, or coordinating large-scale initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and current threat landscapes.
• Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity plans.
• Experience managing or working with federal grants or cybersecurity funding programs.
• Ability to manage multiple simultaneous initiatives, resources, and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills to identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and propose strategic solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex information to diverse audiences.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive statewide initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
