Description

You will design, implement, and support cybersecurity technology solutions while managing daily operations, troubleshooting, and patching. You will lead the research, proof-of-concept, and selection of new security technologies, providing strategic recommendations to management. You will maintain operational documentation, develop governance metrics, and participate in on-call rotations for critical security incidents. Additionally, you will mentor team members, collaborate with cross-functional groups, and serve as a subject-matter expert for business areas and vendors.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cybersecurity solutions, handling technical administration, troubleshooting, and patching.
  • Lead research and proof-of-concept activities for new security technologies, evaluating build-vs-buy options.
  • Maintain operational documentation and reports to support trend analysis and project governance.
  • Mentor team members, assist in skill development, and serve as a subject-matter expert for vendors and project teams.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and lead security incident response activities and post-event reviews.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Information Technology, preferably within financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud (AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and previous development experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of modern security tools, controls, common web technologies, and enterprise network architecture.
  • Experience with relevant certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or MCSA.
  • Ability to prioritize conflicting demands, work independently, and apply advanced analytical thinking to complex issues.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience leading complex security projects and acting as a role model for operational standards.
  • Proven ability to develop metrics and controls for cybersecurity governance.
